1000 Flowers is excited to announce National "Nail the Vote" Manicure Party Week, October 25 - 29, 2004. We want women all over the country to commit to vote, and to show that commitment by painting their nails red, white, and blue with V-O-T-E decals. Let’s get thousands of women across the country to spread the word about voting through "nail art"! Women will make voting beautiful -- for their own bodies and the civic body!
We are encouraging women to host "Nail the Vote" manicure parties at their houses, local salons, malls, farmer's markets, or other places -- and to invite the local media. At your manicure party, you can do your each other’s nails, hair, and lips, talk to the press, and get organized for Election Day on November 2. 1000 Flowers is offering a limited number of Manicure Party Kits (while supplies last), containing V-O-T-E decals, a special Vote! Lipstick by Stila Cosmetics, Tweezerman’s nail buffing and shining block, nail files with our slogans, and a voter checklist postcard. (Sorry!
